§ 94-3. Fees for use of county boat dock.

  • (a)

    It is the purpose and intent of this section to provide for a fair and equitable procedure and schedule to collect fees from owners and operators of boats desiring to dock overnight at the county dock in Cedar Key, Florida. It is the further intent that such fees shall be used to help defray the maintenance costs of such dock.

    (b)

    The fees to be paid shall be based upon the size of the boat desiring to dock overnight and whether water hookup is desired. Such fees shall be as established by resolution.

    (c)

    The schedule of fees set forth in subsection (b) of this section shall be paid for each night the boat remains at the dock and shall be payable in advance.

    (d)

    The person designated by the board of county commissioners as the "dock watchman" shall be and is hereby authorized to collect the docking fees. The "dock watchman" shall be responsible for accounting to the board for all fees collected by him.

    (e)

    Failure of any boat owner or operator to pay the fee according to the provisions of this section shall constitute an offense.
