§ 90-2. Additional penalty to fund traffic education programs.

(a)

Pursuant to F.S. § 318.1215, the clerk of the court for the county is hereby directed to collect an additional $5.00 with each civil traffic penalty. Notwithstanding the aforegoing, this section shall not be construed to apply to parking violations.

(b)

Funds collected by the clerk pursuant to this section shall be forwarded to the county school board on a monthly basis to be used to financially assist driver education programs in the county. It is provided that such funds shall not be used to replace other funding sources. It is further provided that such funds shall be used for direct driver educational expenses and shall not be used for administration.
