§ 50-456. General construction and maintenance standards.

  • All permitted signs shall be constructed and maintained in accordance with the following standards, and no certificate of occupancy will be issued for a building unless signs have been conformed to the following standards:

    (1)

    All signs will be constructed and maintained in accordance with section 2301 of the Standard Building Code, as adopted and amended by the county, and article 600 of the National Electrical Code, as adopted and amended by the county.

    (2)

    All copies shall be maintained as to be legible and complete.

    (3)

    Signs shall be maintained in vertical position unless originally permitted otherwise.

    (4)

    Damaged faces or structural members shall be replaced in a timely manner.

    (5)

    Electrical systems, fasteners and the sign and structure as a whole shall be maintained at all times in a safe condition.
