§ 34-33. Public nuisance.

  • (a)

    All abandoned property is hereby declared to be a public nuisance, the abatement of which pursuant to the police power is hereby declared to be necessary for the health, welfare and safety of the residents of the county.

    (b)

    The board of county commissioners hereby finds that the accumulation of junk and the storage of unserviceable vehicles on privately owned lands, except in lawfully established and maintained junkyards, garbage or waste disposal sites, or sanitary landfills, creates health hazards and attractive nuisances and impairs the economic welfare of adjoining properties. Such accumulation of junk and storage of unserviceable vehicles in violation of this section is hereby prohibited and declared to be a public nuisance.
