§ 34-9. Penalties.

(a)

Subject to the provisions of this section, violation of any provision of this article shall be subject to the penalties provided in section 2-140 of the code.

(b)

In addition to any provisions of section 2-140 of the code, each day in violation of this article shall constitute a separate offense. When a water shortage declaration is not in effect, and during the initial stages of a water shortage or water shortage emergency, enforcement officials may provide violators with no more than one written warning.
