§ 2-141. Contesting violations.

  • (a)

    Should a person to whom a citation is issued desire to contest the citation, the person shall have the right to contest such citation in county court.

    (b)

    If a person elects to contest a citation, he may request a hearing before the county court within 30 days of the issuance of the citation. If the person does not request a hearing and does not pay the citation within 30 days of the issuance of the citation, the clerk of the court may set a hearing on the citation before the county court and provide notice thereof to the person and the county.
