§ 2-136. Definitions.

  • As used in this division, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth in this section, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

    Code enforcement officer means any designated employee or agent of the county whose duty it is to enforce codes and ordinances enacted by the county. Employees or agents who are designated as code enforcement officers for purposes of this section may include, but are not limited to, code inspectors, code compliance officers, code enforcement officers, law enforcement officers, animal control officers, fire safety inspectors, enforcement officer (as that term is defined in section 34-31 hereof), landfill or recycle supervisors or employees, or any other employee or agent designated as a code enforcement officer by the county coordinator or county development department director.

    Code or codes means any ordinance or ordinances of Levy County, Florida, and any section or sections contained in this Code of Ordinances of Levy County, Florida, as any or all of the same exist and as they may be amended.

    Ordinance or ordinances means any ordinance or ordinances of Levy County, Florida.
